Takin Gthepiss out of the Fraudsters

Fraudsters

Intro
A whole industry has grown up generating fake letters and e-mails sent by people pretending to be relatives of deposed African leaders who say they are in urgent need of financial help to move secret fortunes away from their countries.

The details vary but those orchestrating this type of crime offer their victims a cut in the money they claim to have. Then usually, after a few letters or e-mails about the proposition, they ask for the victim's bank details, for the money to be transferred to them. But instead of the transfer, the fraudsters then clean out the victim's account.

The way these cunts work is really simple. The offer of a share in a vast fortune does actually tempt some people and there are some victims who have lost hundreds of thousands of pounds! After the exchange of a few emails, the scam artist then informs the victim that they are on the verge of completing their ‘secret deal’ BUT obstacles then spring up but the victim can only see the vast fortune within grasp and happily send off relatively small amounts of money (at first) to speed up the deal that they hope will bring them this vast fortune. These obstacles could be ‘corrupt officials’ who need paying off – only say - £500, then no sooner has that little problem been resolved than yet another ‘problem’ pops up – this time £1500 is required and so on and so on.

Well, I don’t know if you have heard of the current sport of winding up those scam artists who send out these letters and emails, but I did and decided to join in! (For those considering taking up the sport, I'd recommend taking a look at 419eater.com where you will find a lot of useful information.)

An ‘INVESTMENT PROPOSAL’ email was posted on a website by a recipient of that email, so I contacted the author of the email (Kwame Adu - probably not his real name) and informed him that a friend of mine received his email and then passed it on to me and that I was *extremely* interested in his little proposition. These scam artists send out thousands of these emails and have no way of tracking the suckers who reply. If you decide to join the sport of taking the piss out of these cunts and jerking them around then make sure that you NEVER give out any personal information!

First, I created the alias Takin Gthepiss, then an email account to go with it:

takin.gthepiss@ntlworld.com

The cunt’s alias (I’m assuming it’s an alias – maybe it’s his real name) was Kwame Adu and his email address was:

kwameadu@mail.com

And that was it! All set to go!  smile

The Players:
